Crescent School of Business(CSB) has established its world class facilities in the serene campus of B.S.Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science & Technology (BSACIST – Deemed to be University) located at Vandalur near the industrial corridor of Chennai on GST road. The newly built classrooms, seminar hall and academic offices were inaugurated on Monday, 11.02.2019 at 9.30 am. The Centre for leadership was also inaugurated.
TAN SRI DATO’ SRI PROF. IR. DR. SAHOL HAMID BIN ABU BAKAR, Vice-Chancellor, BSACIST presided over the event and welcomed the gathering. He said that establishing a B-School renowned for high quality is one of the major objectives of the University. He also said that Strategic thinking and Practice orientation are the mantras for the success of management students as they face many challenging scenarios.
Mr.Srikanth Srinivasan, the COO of Assurant Corporation, a Fortune 500 company, delivered the inaugural address. He spoke about the nature and requirements of millennial managers, and suggested that students should work on innovative ideas and build new concepts and businesses.
Dr.Vaseehar Hassan, INSEAD Executive Coach and Chief Mentor of CSB, spoke on the importance of industry collaboration and insisted that the CSB work towards creating unique business school which brings international teaching practices to India.
Dr.B.Suresh, CEO and MD of Mahindra Consulting spoke on introducing the emerging areas like IOT (Internet of Things), AI (Artificial Intelligence) in the curriculum and stressed on developing business models by students. He also declared that Mahindra consulting will award Rs.1 Lakh for the Best Business Model.
Finally Dr.A.Azad, Regsitrar, BSACISThighlighted the importance of analytics in business decision making and proposed the vote of thanks.
