The faculty at Crescent School of Business has been hand-picked from across the world and within India to interact with and inspire our students. Each faculty member brings their unique pedagogical style to the programme. Through a combination of visiting faculty, periodic guest lectures, seminars and workshops, every course promises to be an experience for the students. Our faculty are experts and thought leaders in their respective fields, and will enrich our students keeping in mind the core philosophy of the PGDM Programme.
Tushar Jaruhar has worked for global brands, with senior executives, in developing strategy, building businesses and delivering multi-million-dollar business transformation and growth initiatives. He has a unique combination of skills including Actuarial, Six Sigma, Lean, MBA and Engineering. His functional experience spans strategy, operations, finance, risk management, engineering, nanotechnology, actuarial pricing, and product development.
He was a teaching assistant at both the University of Pennsylvania’s, School of Engineering and Applied Sciences as well as the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. He is also a certified Six Sigma trainer.
Tushar has a Bachelor in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from the Manipal Institute of Technology. He has a Dual Master in Electrical Engineering & Telecommunications and Networking Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. Further, he has a Master in Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University where he was the recipient of Kellogg’s Four Pillar Award for Intellectual Depth.
Tushar is an Actuary and is a member of the Society of Actuary.
Pushkal Kumar Pandey, an independent higher education professional, holds a PGDM from IIM Bangalore where he majored in finance, systems, general management.
For 11 years he worked in the construction industry before he moved into academics. He has been teaching MBA, BBA, GMAT and GRE students for the last 7 years. He is a visiting faculty in the areas of finance and quantitative methods at FOSTIIMA, IMD, NBA, and Skyline Business School. He was previously associated as visiting faculty with Princeton Review, TIME, JIMS, IILM and Wigan and Leigh.
Pushkal holds a Post Graduate Diploma of Business Administration in Finance, IIM Bangalore, Master of Technology in Water Resources Engineering, IIT Delhi and Bachelors in Civil Engineering, IIT Delhi.
Sarabjeet Natesan is an economist with a background in Teaching, Supply Chain consulting, and Economic and Strategic analysis of Public Policy. She has an experience of over 12 years in teaching Economic Policy, Macro and Micro Economics and Statistical methods for economic analysis at undergraduate and post-graduate level. She has prior industry experience in strategic Supply Chain planning and cost reduction, and Economic Policy research and consulting.
Her research interests lie in use of quantitative and qualitative methods in management and policy learning and evaluation; establishment of contextual factors affecting implementation of policies delving further into the role of implementers in efficient and effective outcomes.
Sarabjeet holds a Ph.D. from IIT Madras and an MS from Rutgers School of Management.
Sandhya Rao has been working in the media for many years, as a print journalist, books editor and children’s books writer. She is one of India’s best children’s book authors and has written about 25 books for children in English, many of which have been translated into other Indian languages. In 2006, she was one of only two children’s authors from India to be invited to the Frankfurt Bookfair. Several of her books have received international acclaim across various forums including the Berlin Literary Festival and the US Board on Books for Young People.
Sandhya has worked in editorial capacities at Indian Express, India Today, Frontline magazine, Tata McGraw-Hill, Tulika Print Communications, and Tulika Publishers. Since 1979, she’s been contributing articles and features to magazines and newspapers, and writes a fortnightly column called ‘Pictures & Words’ for BusinessLine’s online paper for management students, BL on Campus. Currently, she is an editorial consultant with the Hindu BusinessLine in Chennai.
Sandhya has a master’s in English Literature from Madras University (Madras Christian College).
Arul Dev is a certified leadership coach and the founder CEO of People First Consultants, an HR consulting firm. Arul works with individuals and collectives across organizations, educational institutions, NGOs and government to map the quality of culture of organizations. He has been a guest faculty at IIT Madras for the last five years delivering sessions for both students and faculty.
Arul also heads the Talent Acquisition division of People First Consultants. He helps enable growth at the firm and drives recruitment excellence for clients in multiple sectors across India.
Arul is an engineering graduate from BITS Pilani.
Baba Prasad is a leading thinker in the area of management strategy and innovation. He is President & CEO of Vivékin Group. Prasad is also a Sloan Fellow at the Wharton School (USA) and visiting professor of Management at the International Institute for Information Technology-Hyderabad (IIIT-H). He taught at Purdue University, the University of Minnesota and the University of North Carolina-Charlotte.
Through years of research at some of the world’s best business schools, Baba Prasad has drawn on theories from psychology, operations management, information systems, and cultural anthropology to develop the Vivékin Intelligences FrameworkTM (VIFTM) and the VivékinAgility. Matrix, paradigm-shifting frameworks for business strategy based on theories of human intelligence. His work has been cited in various papers and trade journals. His research formed the basis for a chapter in Nicholas Carr’s book, Does IT Matter? (Harvard Business School Press, 2004). Prasad’s work has also been featured in publications like US Banker and presented to prestigious audiences that have included luminaries like Alan Greenspan, Chairman of the Federal Bank of the USA.
Baba Prasad has degrees in Math, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, and Artificial Intelligence & Robotics, as well as a Ph.D. in Operations & Information Management from the Wharton School.
Bhawani Singh Shekhawat is currently the CEO of AkshayaPatra Foundation and is based in London. Bhawani is visiting faculty at leading management schools and as a listed speaker on the London Bureau of Speakers. A seasoned behavioral economist, Bhawani is a practicing strategy and management professional with rich international experience. He has spent 25 years across Asia, Middle East, Africa, North America and Europe in key roles with top F-500 companies including Nielsen, Reckitt Benckiser and Coca-Cola. He is also an independent advisor on company boards including Erehwon Innovation Consulting, Sevendots.
Bhawani holds a Masters in Economics, University of Mumbai and Bachelors in Economics, University of Rajasthan.
Gurunathan is the Principal Consultant at M/s Indian Institute of Supply Chain. He has also worked as Senior Counsellor with the CII Institute of Logistics. He started his career with Ashok Leyland, as Assistant Manager, where he gained hands-on experience in manufacturing and production management. He then went on to work as a Trainee Consultant at Sony India where he was exposed to Oracle 10.7 ERP. His teaching stint began in 2000 with SRM Engineering College. He is also a visiting faculty at BIM Trichy. As a Corporate Trainer, he has handled sessions for working professionals across Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Spare parts management, Inventory management etc., Gurunathan has created two certifications for working professionals and final-year MBA students – SCM Pro and SCM Exe.
Gurunathan holds a Masters in Engineering Management from BITS Pilani, and a BE from Anna University. He is a CII certified Warex assessor and IQ Business Excellence assessor.
Mustafa Moochhala is the founder of Innobridge Consulting. Prior to this he was with Ma Foi as a Principal Consultant and been working in areas of learning, HR systems, organization design, leadership development and capabilities growth; and work with groups and communities over the last 32 years. His areas of expertise include leadership development where he has conducted training, facilitated workshops in corporate houses and designed leadership development systems using instruments, training, assignments, exposure visits, systems, processes, coaching and organizational development where he worked on creating organizational strategy for culture and HR. He is a registered facilitator for Centre of Creative Leadership, US and Bath Consulting, UK. He is also certified in David Diamond’s ‘Theatre for Living’ and Barry Oshry’s ‘Organization workshop’ and qualified administrator of MBTI, CPI, EUM, FIRO-B, Influence style indicator, Dimensions, Saville suite and Hogan’s instruments.
Deepa Kapoor has over 23 years of corporate experience across various functions including HR, CSR, sales, marketing and creating partnerships, both in India and the United States of America. She brings her practical experience of the corporate world to her role as Director of the one year PGDM at CSB.
She was recently the Group Head for HR, CSR and Skill Development at Punj Lloyd. Prior to that, she worked with Genpact in different areas like finance, CSR, business development. She has also worked in Supply Chain with Lucent Technologies. She has over 5 years of experience in marketing and communications.
Deepa holds a BA in Computer Science and Mathematics from Smith College and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania.
Sanjay Saraf’s career of about 28 years has seen him climb the ladder of corporate hierarchy steadily, starting from an Assistant Metallurgist and culminating in the role of a CEO. The 23+ years that he has spent in the corporate world was mostly dedicated to managing industrial products. Post his illustrious corporate career, Sanjay has now transitioned to an executive coach whose mission is to train and coach corporate executives in order to help them become better leaders and managers. His clients include multinationals, Indian owner driven companies and also individuals who wanted to undergo a transition so far as their career was concerned. In his quest to become a leadership coach, Sanjay has explored a plethora of subjects ranging from-Emotional Intelligence, Primatology, Neuroscience, History etc. He is passionate about developing people. Sanjay is also a published author. His book – Fundamentals of Authentic Leadership speaks to the reader about leadership and also about how one can become a good leader.
Sanjay holds a bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering from IIT Kanpur and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from IIM Calcutta.
Prabhu Aggarwal is the founding Vice-Chancellor of O P Jindal University, Raigarh, Chhattisgarh. He has over 25 years of experience in academics and institution building having served as the founding Director of Jindal Institute of Leadership Development and Executive Education, India, Assistant Dean for Executive and Professional Programs, Mason School of Business, College of William and Mary, Virginia, Faculty of business management at various universities such as the University of Washington, USA, College of William and Mary, Virginia, USA, Jindal Global Business School, India and Brazilian Business School, Sao Paolo, Brazil.
Dr. Aggarwal is an active teacher, speaker and consultant in the areas of operational excellence, supply chain optimization, business analytics, and breakthrough performance. Dr. Aggarwal’s research has been published in various leading academic and practitioner journals such as Management Science, Operations Research, IIE Transactions, Journal of International Technology and Information Management, and International Journal of Production Economics.
He is also the President and Founder of Eduserve Global LLC, which provides education management and consultancy services to various global clients in the areas of institution building, leadership development, and executive and management development programs to private, education, and government sectors clients.
Dr. Aggarwal is a Bachelor of Technology from IIT Kanpur and a MBA and Ph.D. from the University of Washington, Seattle, USA in management sciences and operations strategy.
Sonjoy Mohanty has over 28+ years of work experience handling Marketing, Sales, General Management, P&L and Board Responsibilities in large corporations across Micro Banking, Healthcare, Telecom, and Durable’s sectors. He is currently the Senior Advisor to Ernst & Young and 9.9 Media. In his current role, partnering and working with the Government which has increasing potential for businesses, especially aimed at large Government programs such as ‘Make in India’, ‘Digital India’, ‘Skill India’, ‘Stand Up India’ or the impact of specific policies on businesses – each offers an opportunity to deliver quantum results, including through effective PPPs.
Sonjoy, prior to this role was the Secretary General, for International Spirits & Wines Association of India (ISWAI) and led the policy and strategy framework for the same. As CEO of Educomp Supplemental, and in an earlier role at A Little World led the Financial Inclusion foray for the company, while establishing a last mile micro banking and mobile payment network at the Gram Panchayat level. Over last decade, Sonjoy held positions of the Chief Officer, Customer Acquisition at Bharti Airtel; Chief Marketing Officer, Bharti Televentures, and Director Marketing, Caltex (Chevron Texaco). He started his career with Asian Paints in 1987.
Sonjoy Mohanty holds an MBA from IIM Lucknow, and an MA in Business Economics from Delhi University.
Dr. Pramath Raj Sinha has a wide range of experience in academics, consulting and building educational institutions and programs. He served as Founding Dean, Indian School of Business Hyderabad, an initiative for business education run by top business leaders. ISB is only 15 years old and is a top 20 B-School globally. His book, the Indian School of Business – An Idea Whose Time Has Come on his experience of building ISB came out in 2011. He is also a Founder and Trustee of Ashoka University, an acclaimed new liberal arts university in India. Under Ashoka University, he also launched the Young India Fellowship, a one of its kind program to train graduates in liberal arts and leadership.
Prior to ISB, he worked at McKinsey and Company for 13 years, where he was partner. He worked in the India and North America practice. He also taught at the University of Toronto for two years.
Pramath is currently Managing Director at 9.9 Media. He is also Senior Counselor at Albright Stonebridge Group, advising international businesses on setting up practice in India. Prior to this, he was MD & CEO of ABP, India’s leading and most diversified media conglomerates.
Dr. Pramath holds a Bachelors in Technology in Mettalurgical Engineering from IIT Kanpur and a Ph.D. in Applied Mechanics from the University of Pennsylvania.
Shefaly Yogendra specializes in better decision-making, with a multidisciplinary approach to framing and solving problems in complex environments. She has 20 years of hands-on experience as an entrepreneur and a business executive. Her sector specialization encompasses luxury, TMT and financial services.
Shefaly holds a Bachelors in Electronics Engineering, Lucknow University, an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad, Masters in Technology Policy and a Ph.D. in Decision Making from the University of Cambridge.
Arjun Chakraverti led Marketing and Management efforts across several Business ventures including FMCG, Agriculture, Telecom and IT services till 2001. Since then, he has been a full-time Consultant for various Industries and Businesses.
Arjun has worked with the Farm Inputs Division at EID Parry Ltd successfully transitioning their distribution oriented system to a market-driven operation. He also pioneered the telecom revolution in Maharashtra, heading the Sales, Marketing and Service Delivery functions at BPL US West Cellular, and worked for the financial services portal, Netfinex, as Chief Marketing Officer. Since 2001, Arjun has been a full-time Management Consultant, advising corporations in India and abroad on matters pertaining to Strategy, Marketing, and integration issues taking a particular interest in supporting start-ups in Technology Industry. Among his current engagements he is also a faculty member at Great Lakes Institute of Management and is also supporting the development of entrepreneurship initiatives in rural Tamilnadu.
Arjun holds a degree in Economics from Delhi University and a PGDM from IIM Calcutta (1985).
Preeti Singh has 18 years of experience in communications with organisations including McKinsey & Company, Indian School of Business, and USIS. In her role as manager of professional development at McKinsey, she coached several high performers on communicating with impact and enhancing their interpersonal and people skills. She has recently set up her own venture called “My Satori Path” which offers training on these essential capabilities to schools, colleges, and corporate firms.
